Yo! I'm Ryzouken.

I started MMO's with Everquest back when Luclin came out. I was a bit young then, so my kung fu wasn't all that strong. I played it until FFXI came out, discovered the pains of early soloing, switched to WoW, and cut my teeth there. My mains were a 70 Hunter during BC and an 80 Death Knight in Wrath.

I've done some tanking, some DPS. DPS was safe but boring, Tanking freaked me out but was fun. I'm not altogether sure which I prefer.

I intend on making a Miqo'te Lancer come FFXIV. I never got to play a Mithra during XI (my own fault...) and I love the dragoon style. My crafts jobs will be Goldsmithing and whatever else catches my eye, probably mining... Not sure what else...

I got here thanks to Kailok, whose 'secret' linkshell (this one!) was 'outed' in an exchange on XIVCore's boards... if you guys have a place for me, I expect I can be a real asset to your team.

Cataclysm will be cool for about 30 minutes while everyone enjoys worgen, but then everyone will realize it's still the same experience with some extra places to go..whereas FFXIV is a brand new world just waiting to be adventured into ;D

Though I did want to make a Tauren Pally for awhile there... Holy Cow...

I guess it all really just repends on how interesting the stuff is that comes along with Cata. I know they'll be completely changing the landscape. Who knows. I have friends that still play but it really all depends on how well FFXIV keeps my attention XD

Sacred Dawn

So awesome, we organized before the game was even out.

To be honest, my original idea was to just get the original TwilightEdge LS back together before launch so that we could all be on the same server. Sacred Dawn evolved purely out of friendly sentiment.

Kailok was the leader of TwilightEdge. For a split second I thought about using it when I formed Sacred Dawn, since most of the founding members were from TwilightEdge at one point or another.

The reason I decided on Sacred Dawn was that I wanted something that sort of reflected TwilightEdge (Dawn, Twilight), but still says that this is NOT Kailok's linkshell (no offense lil bro). Kailok ran a great shell on the Titan server, and Sacred Dawn would not exist if it weren't for Kailok.

Sacred Dawn was originally just going to be a working name until we could agree on something, but I think it just stuck.

None taken. I don't really wanna be the main leader this time around. I got burnt out from FFXI doing endgame for 4 years straight, barely getting anything for myself from it and everyone constantly bickering about every little thing. Thal is better at handling these things than I am. I'm just a more emotionally charged person, which is why I'm better with people in a social aspect than he is (no offense...big..bro)


And Ryou, you're right actually. I took the idea of the twilight from .dot hack and mixed it with Tri-Edge from .dot Hack G.U. Kept the name for years lol - It's just it's time to end. As long as I'm with my friends, I don't care what we're called, as long as it flows and represents us well.

Don't get used to the logo. Kai and I will be working hard over the next couple months to make a formal website for the Linkshell, so the graphics may change.

But I agree with Ryzou, the logo's so pretty....

I know this sounds like a lot of work, but what I'd like to do is get screenies of several members of the shell and throw 'em into the background of a logo. Then every couple of months or season, we switch which characters are in the logo for some different ones and adapt it to the season (like characters donning their xmas gear, you better believe SE will continue that tradition).

Yeah he was one of our main officers Ryou and a very good longtime friend of ours. He took lead of the linkshell under a new name after I quit FFXI. So far I think they're still running so that's definitely cool. :)

My name is Kimberly, and I'm 23 years old.

I've played FFXI for four years. I had a mithra, in which I played every single class. (What can I say? I like tails!) My first to 75 was THF, since my linkshell didn't have one, and I frankly enjoy playing a thief in games. (Morrowind, Oblivion, etc.) I also play a lot of FPS games, since I tried to quit the MMO-habit. FFXIV is too beautiful to not play!

I totally built a custom PC for FFXIV, but only about 4500 benchmark. But I'm not a rich person!

Umm.. I found this forum through Kailok, and I wanted to be apart of your FFXIV linkshell. I'm been trying to look for a family-like linkshell again. I'm trying to seek a drama-free one, but I understand that drama comes with anything, so I'm patient as long as things are worked out. (Yeah, my FFXI one was full of drama. I pretty much kicked myself out of there, even though I was with them for three years.)

Also, 4500 benchmark isn't too bad considering the benchmark is a wee bit off lol I think half of us are custom building our own computers as well! I know I still have to >< gotta get my check in..

But yeah, sometimes I just walk by mobs, even people while playing FPS.

But don't worry, I'm always on my best behavior in serious missions! But I'll accept blame if we aggro 500 mobs.

One time, while I was trying out a raid in WoW (I didn't like that game. Please don't ask me to remember places, since I care not to go back.) and in that near-Molten Core place-thing, while all of us 80s were running through the level 50 instance to get to the other one (or were we just trying to get the LEEEEROY Jenkins achievement? I forgot.), I jumped off the ledge and left my pet up there... Well.. it got aggro and died.. and then about seven minutes later... yah, we had like 500 mobs.

People died.

maggro's nothing new to us, just follow my expert directions and we'll all end up at the right spot.....

That happens so often in WoW it's ridiculous x.x the mobs in that game aggro based off being in the general area, not by sight or sound. That's why I liked FFXI so much. You could use the right spells and go right past certain mobs.


And shutup Omi >.> I SPANKED BYAKKO IN THE ASS WITH MY SHIELD IN YOUR NAME AND DIED FOR IT AFTER WE WHIPED!

Yeah, in FFXI, I kinda' missed zoning a million mobs and they WALKED back to their spot... But I understand why they changed it.

Crawler's Nest was the worst place for it with those damned tunnels. One lil nub (including me) would be waling through, lose silence, and argo them all and kill urrrrybody lol those were the days though, I'm glad they changed it x.x

Hi everyone, I'm Demetri, I was referred to this site from Ossion aka Jessy. Jessy and Steven are both my coworkers. I played WoW for about a year, sold my account because I got tired of the 12 year olds. I also played EVE for about a year on and off, and I played Aion for less than 6 months with Jessy. I'm twenty, live in Fort Myers/Naples. I still can't decide what class I'm going to be yet. Looking forward to playing FFXIV with you all.
