Welcome to the shell Kimberly and Occifer. Rather surprised we're getting so many new peeps, and I'm even more surprised so many of us live in the same general area lol

Well I put up a topic about our Linkshell in the Linkshell Recruitment section on ffxivcore.com. There's 3 other people supposed to sign up in the next couple days too.

And yeah I like how many there are in our area. Which means epic win if we all decide to go to Megacon :D

finally signed up on this board... im mitch i also live in fl. i know a couple ppl in here cam, his bro, connor, jordan, and some other peeps. i play wow and sc2, my xbl is zprojectmayhemz. i also work at best buy whats up mort. ive only played one other ff and it was 13 and i didnt even finish it. so im gonna need so help with all the new ff14 stuff. i read the first 2 pages on this topic and then skipped to the end.(wtf is a galk?)

'bout time mitch. And Galk = Galka, which was a race in FFXI. They're pretty much the previous version of those big dudes you plan on being in FFXIV. But they had tails and they were slaves and people hated them. Still do ;D

My name is darren im 31 years old i originally come from england live in canada now so i have got that whole austin powers accent down lol i have played many mmos the first one i got into pretty hardcore was of course ffxi played that for a couple of years i think i got into the 50s then i kept dying then i decided to give wow a go what a mistake that was lost 3 years of my life on that game.
But when i found out about ffxiv i was rdy to go other games i have played eq2,gw,eve curantly still playing untill ffxiv comes out no idea what class i am gonna go yet im thinking a archer or conjurer but not sure yet hoping to try out open beta since i did not mange to get a beta key well enough rambling on i talk to much i look forward to meeting u all

Hello, I am Caprius. Just got recruited by Kailok on the ffxivcore.com forums. Im 24, from California.

I don’t have a very robust history with MMO games. I started out with EQOA for the ps2 (wasn’t much of a computer gamer growing up). Then when FFXI finally hit the PS2 with the HDD I started playing that for a few years. Didn't get very far into it. My highest levels were 68 whm and 40 blm. Then college, work and life got too much in the way of my gaming. I also dabbled in many other MMOs but those only lasted a few months at most.

Now I am ready to get back into another MMO, and FFXIV looks like the perfect choice for me. I was one of the lucky people that got into closed beta and have really enjoyed it so far. I will probably play the disciplines of magic. I also will do one DoL and DoH (carpenter or tanner). I plan on staying a casual player due to time constraints but would definitely like a good group of friends I can enjoy the game with. Looking forward to getting to know this LS better.

I'm Soi! (Or Joshua) I live in Missouri right now, but that will likely change by the start of the new year.

I started really playing MMO's in 03' with the launch of Star Wars Galaxies. I've played an assortment of MMO's through the years including FFXI, as well as WoW, but now I need my FF fix. :P
I plan to play a Wildwood Elezen, home city: Gridania.

My mithra started in Bastok, like I told you before. I liked Bastok a lot. Sandy was okay, and Windurst was just crowded and too complex for my tiny brain.

I'd say, "don't insult my home city," but... in my server (Fenrir), all the stupid people came from Bastok.

Yeah, Sandy was the snotty elf city. Those elves made me mad, and I never wanted to go there. At least they didn't yell at me for choppin' their trees not too far from town or I would of had some words.
