Gamescom Interview (New)

It seems to have some pretty cool stuff. Only thing I don't like is they stated that the 48 hour refresh time on guildeves is most likely there to stay. But oh well, we'll find a way.

Also, the 3 cities (lots of really good pictures after the interview) seem to have the same themes they did in in FFXI - Ul'Dah (Castle/Sandy), Limsa Lominsa(Industrial Port/Bastok), Gridania (Forest City/Windy). I'll definitely be starting in Ul'Dah, Gridania in close 2nd. Limsa Lominsa sucks >< What about you guys?

Probably Ul'dah for the castle scenery. I'll check out all 3 during Open Beta and I'll take lots of screenies. I'm definitely not a fan of Limsa Lominsa. It's not bad, but I prefer other scenery. And the pirates. Oh teh pirates. That gets old quick.

From a roleplaying perspective I may do Gridania as I'll be a Woodland Elezen and it may make more sense. We'll see I guess.

The scenery in Limsa Lominsa really is nice, the layout isn't bad, and my only complaint is the abuse of the sailor and pirate personalities.

It's abuse of the pirate culture, lol. I'm guessing Pirates of the Caribbean was recently translated in Japan and they went nuts for it.
