If you bought the CE edition and will be online in the first couple days, lets rub it in everyone's face that has to wait :)

Just kidding, just lemme know if you'll be on and what you're full name is/will be so I can hunt ya down and invite you to the linkshell. I plan on making the organization of the linkshell my first priority when the servers go live.

While I did, in fact, preorder the CE edition, I shall be waiting until the 30th for my other preorder to arrive, that I may begin play with all 4 available preorder items (armbands, shoes, goggles, helmet)

So... yeah. I suspect there'll be some server issues to be ironed out early on anyway; I doubt I'll miss too much...

I was under the impression that the shoes weren't preorder items, but a perk for having an active FFXI account when you make your first FFXIV account.

Omi, I think you have to put in the code in your FFXIII case into the SE members site (NOT the account management site).

This will give you a new code that you'll put into the SE Account Management site under Add Services. The Shoes are Movement% Up if you have FFXI active.

AMG! Stupid Gamestop isn't holding midnight releases for FFXIV! Those bastards!

Now I has to wait till tomorrow morning. And the jerk on the phone was all smug too "I'll be happy to be there first thing tomorrow morning to sell you your copy!" Ass! I want a midnight release! I may not be installing the game, but it means I don't have to get up at 6 AM to go sit in front of your store and wait.

Ahem. Yeah, I got FFXIII on its initial run (campaign code sitting safe and secure on my desk), and upped my FFXI account so I should get a code around the 26th or so for the boots. I lumped them in the preorder items category because they're stuff you can earn before release. Technically the proper term would be "prerelease" items, but mreh.

I dont think it was a slider i think if you choose a taller character they just get larger i'm not sure i'll have to make one and see.

I've used the disk, not sure if you can DD it from their site, SE are being a wee bit strange with this one and doing some funky shit so i would'nt expect the norm for anything.

I ordered my CE through best buy, and the order status still says: "Order in process of being fulfilled; Usually ships in 1 - 2 days."

But it's said that for 2 days now. There is no tracking number, so I assume it hasn't left the warehouse yet, which is a bummer.

I think I'm going to check best buy down the street after my class to see if they have any on their shelf, then return the one that comes in the mail.

You can download the ISO file of the DVD and install it without having the disks. That is what I did and got all of the updates before I even got my CE Edition at gamestop this morning. The ISO was being hosted by some guy on the Core site.

EDIT 1: Character's all built, I'll be able to play later this week, once my components arrive and my system is able to actually run cutscenes or gameplay with minimal lag...

but i have to put it on one of my other gaming laptops, not the one i was intending on using. but oh well.

i will put it on that one later, as i want to play now before i have to go to school.

my other computer has no optical drive, so i will just rip it and make an iso then install from that. i know i can just download it, but i can rip it faster than i can download it.
