New classes?
Check out this forum. I'm unsure of the source of that pic but it seems legit enough. Enjoy.

Re: New classes?
"They already announced that the currently revealed classes are the only ones that will be available at release. That list is also very old, dating back to alpha, unless it's been updated recently (tired of seeing it so I don't know).
They did stat however that every FFXI weapon will make an eventual return, so a katana wielding class will be out there somewhere! I don't think it will be very much like samurai though, they've seem to have twisted classes up so we'll probably see a quite interesting class holding the 1h or 2h katana (or both?).
Personally I'm more interested in future magic classes and possibly something more align the lines of blue mage and gun using classes (musketeer, hoo!).
As far as locales go, all the recent information has me aching to explore the world. It's a final fantasy world through and through and seeing the recent videos makes me think of all the amazing places I've been through in FFXI. A few expansions down the road and I think Eorzea will be a place of unquestionable amazement. "
As quoted from Cerulean Shaman at this link: http://www.ffxivcore.com/topic/12506-in-this-thread-we-dream-and-wonder/page__p__259368#entry259368

Re: New classes?
I hope they have a beastmaster class. I love having pets!
My beast and I will control the world!
More support classes would be nice. Like COR and BRD. I just love those little guys buffing up my attack!

Re: New classes?
I know right? I want a pet class that's the only downer i have seen so far with FFXIV. HOWEVER Musketeer or Flayer would be some fairly cool additions to the game. Though I really don't think this list is legit

Re: New classes?
I don't believe anything is legit, not even from Square (lol) until it's released.
No offense to them, but they may have great games, but they let us down more than once with their "TAKEBACK TAKEBACK!"
But they'll probably introduce pets later. I want my Wyvern back!!!

Re: New classes?
That list was taken directly from weapon types that are already in the beta files and apparently multiple miners have confirmed the info. I don't have any reason to believe it isn't real, but the big thing here is what does it tell us that we don't already know? Mostly just what weapon types you can expect.

Re: New classes?
My DRG was level 66. I had a hard time leveling her and my Wyvern. My favorite class.. Ahh full AF...
But as for the list, I expect those types of weapons to be in a game. We need a Gunblade!

I think you mean Lightning's gunblade? Snow just hit stuff with his fists.

Re: New classes?
But how would you change equipment to switch classes? lol "We're sorry, but I'm afraid you cannot change classes at this time due to a poor choice of bio mechanically enhanced weaponry. Thank you and have a nice day doing nothing in Eorzea."

Re: New classes?
We'd need to implement a medic class, who can do surgery.
Okay I'll stfu.
But I forgot about the claws in FFXI. Thanks for reminding me of those cheapo things.
