Cactuars - And why I hate them.

I've come to the conclusion that they're still overpowered as all hell. There's a 20 leve quest requiring you to kill 10..I died 5 times trying to finish this quest.

Thoughts? Anyone else had 1,000 Needles go off RIGHT before killing them? >:O

there are a bunch of retarded overpowered mobs it seems...those dumb spider like things in Thanalan are a fine example. they are blue rank to me at rank 11 on my pug. had a leve (recommended for rank 10 mind you) to kill 8 of em....i started to fight one and got one shot....said fuuuuuuuuuck that....

What difficulty did you have it on? As you start out in the 10's everything is pretty powerful, even the Naked Moles lol. Are you talking about the Yarzon or the new Mites?

And yeah, but Cactuars have always been uber annoying to fight due to 1,000 Needles. Even in FFXI you could be tearing them apart and if they get that off in time you could potentially be boned lol

Yea the Yarzons... and i had it on solo difficulty. so rank 11 on a solo rank 10 leve shouldn't have that damn problem

O.o wow, never had a problem with them..just wait til you get to 20 leves and start dealing with cactuars x.x..it's sooo frustrating >_<
