Playtimes?

Just wondering when most people plan on playing, it seems as if almost everyone is three hours ahead of me I'll prob play anywhere from 4pm-2am MDT without daylight savings so basically PDT right now

Most of us are on the East Coast, as you've noticed. Being in college, I have a really wacky schedule this semester, so it's mostly whatever time I can fit in between classes when I don't have homework I should be doing. Thursdays and Fridays in the afternoon and Saturdays, most likely in the morning, are when I'd play.... Not very specific, but I can't even specify it for myself right now...

you'll probably see the most ppl on during the weekdays sometime between 10am est - 4pm est. aside from that, alot of us have work in the evening or school and such.

Nova's got a point. I work tues, wed, and fridays usually at night. I hate my job already but eh, who doesn't? lol

i'm a rebel and an outcast so i decide to live 5 hours in the future, so im usually on earlier than everyone.

I would also not expect to see a ton of people online from the linkshell until after the release. I can say for myself and my wife (Kersi) that we're in no rush since our characters will be deleted in 2 weeks and don't see a point in trying to get as high as possible.

yar good point,, personally i've just been playing around and getting used to the UI and how things worked, then once it's released grind grind grind

Haha FFXI all over again. They've fixed a couple of the annoying things yesterday as well. Like the chat log being clogged up with other people's exp gains and loot drops, and the chat log jumping up and down was annoying. To me the most debilitating thing in game at the moment is the UI, and even that isn't overly hindering most of the time. Kersi was having trouble getting spells to fire last night, where I wasn't having any issues. I was crashing every 3 mins before I gave up, Kersi didn't crash at all.

When you visit the forums (core, zam, etc) you read all the hate about these small issues, but imo the game will need work after release, but will be in some pretty good shape compared to MOST MMO releases of the last decade, especially if they can get the servers stable.

i'm just hoping they sort out the connection i'm always in the yellow and its making everything sluggish and take a few seconds to do what i asked, and from what i've seen in other peoples SS's they seem to have the same S and R and colour of the connection icon.

They fixed the loot log thing? yay! I was getting so confused for a while when they said "you gain (something)" and I'm like what? but I didn't kill anything! Did I?

The problem with all these haters is that they aren't understanding that THIS IS A BETA PHASE they're treating it like it is fully released...

Hmm, looks I wont be able to play with the LS very often. I am located on west coast and will be working in the daytime so I will usually be on 5pm-10pm pst (8pm-1am est). Will anyone else usually be on at those times?

you'll see me anytime from 10am-4pm and anytime after 9pm-2 or 3am. I imagine I'll be playing a lot and since I only have work instead of school at the moment it'll give me time to play whenever i'm not working. :)
